The Association for Promotion of Flamenco Luna Gitana is inviting you to come and learn flamenco from 18th September 2017 to 15th June 2018 at Neubergerjeva 9, Ljubljana (Center Premik, ballroom D).

Beginners are invited to our open house on Monday and Wednesday, 11th and 13th of September 2017 at 19.00.

SCHEDULE

Flamenco dance basic level:
Monday and Wednesday 18.00–19.00
Flamenco dance for beginners:
Monday and Wednesday 19.15–20.15
Flamenco technique (beginner/basic):
Friday 18.00–19.00
Flamenco dance intermediate level:
Monday 20.30–22.00 and Friday 19.15–20.45

Classes will be held from September 18th 2017 until June 15th 2018, with the exception of the following holidays:

PROGRAMME


Flamenco dance for beginners
The course is intended for beginners without flamenco dancing experience. You will learn the basics of flamenco dancing techniques, exercises for proper posture and flexibility, the basic rhythms and character of flamenco. You will learn one or more of the following dances: tangos, rumbas, sevillanas.


Flamenco dance basic level
The course is intended for those who attended our courses last year and anybody who has learned the basics of flamenco dancing techniques and the following dances: sevillanas and tangos. You will improve your dancing technique and learn the style of alegrías.


Flamenco group intermediate level
The course is intended for dancers with several years’ experience, certain level of flamenco techniques and a high motivation to progress.
Recommended equipment: a wide skirt, shoes with leather soles and 4 – 6 cm heels for women, and shoes with leather soles for men.
In the event an insufficient number of applications is received, the organizers reserve the right to combine groups. Teachers reserve the right to adjust the program in accordance with participants' knowledge.
