PROGRAMME
Flamenco dance for beginners
The course is intended for beginners without flamenco dancing experience. You will learn the basics of flamenco dancing techniques, exercises for proper posture and flexibility, the basic rhythms and character of flamenco. You will learn one or more of the following dances: tangos, rumbas, sevillanas.
Flamenco group with basic knowledge
The course is intended for those who attended our courses last year and anybody who has learned the basics of flamenco dancing techniques and at least one of the following dances: sevillanas, tangos, alegrías. You will improve your dancing technique and learn the style of bulerías.
Flamenco technique
An additional weekly hour of dance technique for last year's beginners who wish to join the group with basic knowledge, intended for bridging the gap. Other dance enthusiasts are also more than welcome, but are kindly requested to observe that the level will be specifically adapted to those with less experience. The participants will improve their dance technique and knowledge of amalgamated compás, especially por bulerías.
Recommended equipment: a wide skirt and shoes with leather soles and high heels (4 – 6 cm) for women; and shoes with leather soles for men.
In the event an insufficient number of applications is received, the organizers reserve the right to combine groups. Teachers reserve the right to adjust the program in accordance with participants' knowledge.
